Project Six | Proposals

Proposal One:
Where do you live? At the Zoo

As a part-time job I work for the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden. I work with different animals from mammals to reptiles and birds. With this project I want to show these different animals, their habitats at the Zoo, the relation between humans and these wild animals. My goal is to show and communicate who are my other “coworkers”, the variety of species, their exhibits, and how they live at the zoo.

List of shoots:
  1. Animal encounters – being really close to an animal, seeing the inside of its exhibit.
  2. Animal feeding – during some animal training and feeding, seeing the keepers feeding the animal.
  3. Animal training – practicing how to handle an animal, how to demo an animal.
  4. Nocturnal tours – looking at animals at night

Proposal two:

The voices of an Alley

With this project I want to explore the different alleys around the city. Explore the different angles and views of an alley, and trying to learn about untold stories of those alleys. Explore how many views can you get? What views will I find in these different alleys? My goal is to create a series of alley views and create a story with it. I want to explore what I have learn during this class using alleys as my subject.

List of shots:
  1. Explore the depth of field of an alley.
  2. Different light in an alley (during the day, evening and night)
  3. Different points of views in an alley
  4. Finding the perfect photograph in an alley
